Lorem Ipsum

Slowly walking down the hall
Faster than a cannonball...
Some day you will find me caught beneath the landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky...

I happened to look up as I entered the premises of my house today. There was a full moon visible through broad palm fronds. Beautiful. I remember thinking, about eight weeks ago, that the moon looked like a bowl of whipped cream. But it was a creamy white that night. Tonight, it's like a shiny new silver coin.

Nice life it has, the moon. I'd like to be the full moon for a day, somewhere near an ocean. And then, I'd like to be the moon over the highest hill in the Western Ghats. Sounds like a fun idea.

How many special people change
How many lives are living strange...

This is the perfect evening for a long walk. All alone.

I think I would like a long walk, just me and the road. Especially if the moon was shining down on me, or the sun was just retiring for the day :)
I am amazed by how beautiful the moon is. every time I see it, there is a fresh feeling of awe. As if the realization washes all over me.
I have been getting back from work later than I usually do. And one of the first things I notice when I leave my work premises is the moon. I think one of the reasons its so appealing, is because of how understated it is. I do not have any friend here with me, who thinks the moon is worth talking about. And I dont think they would want a penny for my thoughts either :)
Oddly enough my favorite line in this song is; a dreamer dreams she never dies.
I dont even know why I like that line so much.

Yes...I think that's why I love it too. Because it is so understated and it feels like a brand new sight each time I see it. And it waxes and wanes!

The evening after I posted this, I noticed the moon again when I was leaving office...and this time, it was the colour of syrup. I think the moon makes for a chattier companion than the sun - which also means that if you just want to sit in companiable silence, it'll do that, too. One of the things I really want to do is to commune with the moon from atop a hill, at midnight. Logistics get in the way, else I'd have done it a long time ago. I'm not leaving the planet till I have - even if it means doddering up some hill, bones creaking, at 88. :D

I can't put my finger on a favorite line from the song... sometimes I find it hard to tell whether I love this, or Wonderwall, more...ever since I first heard Champagne Supernova, though, I've tried to imagine how someone could walk slowly down the hall, faster than a cannonball...like, I've actually tried to DO that in my imagination...but it hasn't happened yet...and I LOVE the thought behind "...and after all, you're my wonderwall...".

I don't have any friends here, with me, who think the moon is worth talking about, either...or a lot of things, for that matter...so I do the next best (or better, who knows :D) thing, and talk to myself instead. Ok enough here...email time! :)

you could talk to yourself or email me ! :) I cant guarantee the conversations with me are going to be any more interesting than the conversations with yourself, but hey at least we can fall in love with the moon together ! :)
and the walk down the hall, faster than a canon ball is symbolic of something else I think. want to take a guess ?:)
